Michael has been a learning and development professional for the past 10 years, consulting with a variety of well-known successful organisations. Michael has also lectured in UCC and DBS in modules such as Organisation Design Interventions; IT and Innovation; and Strategic Contact Centre Management.
The first project management role Michael undertook was in the selection and customisation of a CRM / IVR integration for one of Ireland’s largest FMCG companies. Other projects have included the introduction of Performance Management (PMDS) into a government agency, and the outsourcing of back office function of a major Irish owned financial institution. He has managed multiple projects with total valuations in excess of €7m.
Prior to this career direction, Michael was a successful contact centre manager, culminating in him being honoured as Irish Contact Centre Manager of the Year by CCMA Ireland in 2010.
Michael holds two First Class (1H) Masters degrees from NUI: an MA in Learning & Development (Consultancy) and an MSc in Project Management.
At Velopi, Michael trains a number of courses, including Performance Management Essentials, and Managing Stakeholders. He also conducts Project Management Maturity Assessments (PMMA) on behalf of partner organisations, providing feedback to help teams identify their key capabilities and areas of improvement.
