Project Management Professional (PMP)® Exam Preparation Refresher Overview

Since January 2021, all Project Management Institute-authorized Project Management Professional (PMP)® exam preparation courses have been based on the Institute’s materials and its CHOICE learning management system. If you have taken such a course, but have NOT obtained your PMP® credential, this refresher course is for you.

The PMP® exam is still based on the sixth edition of the Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK® Guide). It is also very much focused on how value is delivered. You might remember that only half of the PMP® exam will test your process knowledge. The rest will test your understanding of people – the role of the project manager, developing and managing the team and engaging with stakeholders – and the business environment.

Also, there is still a strong emphasis on agile project management, with roughly half of the questions having some sort of agile slant.

This two-day course will be based on the materials you received when you undertook your original Authorized PMP® Exam Preparation course. If you no longer have access to these materials, or the CHOICE learning management system, these will NOT be supplied as part of the refresher.

However, you will have access to our exam simulator to prepare for the exam, as well as our renowned support up to the exam itself.

The course itself will provide a summary of the thirty-five topics that make up the five lessons of the PMP® curriculum. Topics that are very familiar to the class will be covered quickly, with more time spent on areas where people are having difficulties.
