This one-day course will introduce the student to key concepts, such as strategic objectives, program management, business needs, business outcomes and, of course, benefits. Once the basics are understood, the student will be taken through the entire benefits management life-cycle, from benefits identification and analysis, through benefits delivery, to benefits transition and sustainment. Customizable templates will be made available to support this effort.

On completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- Define the basic concepts – benefits, business objectives, program management, strategic objectives
- Identify benefits, based on the business objectives
- Analyse benefits by establishing appropriate critical success factors and key performance indicators
- Deliver benefits in a timely fashion, ensuring that the work is going according to plan
- Transition benefits to a sustaining organization
- Sustain benefits, or at least understand how they will be sustained by another organization
